Every blog for a year now about the goaltending. Yes the goaltending will regress but there is so much more to this team that you refuse to write about.
I used to log in to read every day and now I almost never do because the good analysis with player charts has disappeared and now it’s all just the same thing about the goalies every single time, without ever considering that at least some percentage of the above average goaltending is based on a good fast two way team ... and that maybe....MAYBE sitting Hayton or playing Kessel less has also contributed to the higher save percentage, because solid fast system players keep the puck out, and then opportunistic offensive players cash in. |

The standings say the Islanders are better than the Islanders but the savvy, informed, evolved hockey fan knows that's not really true.
We have reached Peak Tanner. |

What's the probability of probabilities being correct? Anyone have a chart for that?
Here is the idea of blogging and covering a team. Actually cover the team rather than tell us about probabilities and what probably will happen. There's a lot of wiggle room in probabilities. That's what makes sports so great. So sad that the blogger has zero insight into the actual spirit of competition and the human element of sport. |

I suppose it's a lot better to assume that the Coyotes and Islanders have cracked the code than to face reality. |

I am big believer in the idea that if a blogger isn't telling me exactly what I want to hear, go on line and b___ about it insistently.
If there's one thing the internet is good for, it's allowing you to ignore everything you don't already agree with. |

Hopefully you haven’t been betting on the Isles to lose for the last 120 games? I think you’d be broke.

Dearest James:
Your schtick is to write inflammatory blogs to rile up the Hockeybuzz readership, so don't get pissy when people give you exactly what you want.
Or perhaps your pissy reaction here is just another component in your master plan to generate hits?
Well done, Mr. Tanner. You've won this round.
P.S. No reaction to the song I provided? Disappointing. It's a classic! |

What’s the record for CF% winner vs reality this year? ( not score adjusted )
Let us know, tia.

James you don't think the Coyotes will make the playoffs, but do you think the Leafs will? And if so why? |

They are renaming it the Corsi Cup. It doesn't matter what the standings say; teams only have to win statistically. Parity at last! |
